Guided Tour and Help files These set of slides explains how to use the simulator. These are the main help files for the CTS. Introduction to the CTS and physiological statistics This set of slides was prepared by David Sackett. They provide a practical introduction to the simulator, and some examples of "physiological statistics". They also include notes on sample size, and the impact of risk and responsiveness on study power.
How to use the simulator This set of slides covers the main functions of the CTS: How to create a new trial, data entry, definition of the study population, experimental groups, how to run the simulations, how results are presented, the consort figure, main outcomes, subgroups analysis, figures with relative risk reductions, relative risks, histograms, dot plots and scatterplots. View as a web page (HTML) Example Trial This set of slides use the CTS to explore the results of a published trial. It starts with the definition of the research question (in PICOT format), and then describes how to enter the trial in the simulator, run the simulations.
